Milena M. Mello

Milena attended Broward College in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and she studied Business Administration. She is a graduate of Leadership SouthCoast and of the New England School of Financial Studies which is sponsored by the Massachusetts Banker Association. In 2006 Milena moved from Fort Lauderdale, FL to New England and joined the banking industry. She started with Citizens Bank in South Dartmouth as the Assistant Manager. She then worked as a Loan Officer at BayCoast Mortgage Company and then as the Branch Manager of BayCoast Bank. Milena’s industry experience not only includes working closely with trusted partners to help their mutual clients achieve their financial goals, but she also pairs a broad range of other leaderships skills. Aside from her day to day duties of guiding and assisting clients with banking products and services that best fit their needs, she was also tasked with assessing financial controls, compliance procedures, as well as developing and guiding staff members at both prior companies.

Throughout her years in the mortgage banking industry she has supported local leaders and has engaged nonprofits in an effort to strengthen our community. As an active volunteer Milena is a board member of the Dartmouth Friends of the Elderly, she also sits on the Dartmouth Council on Aging in South Dartmouth and finally is the Treasurer of Padanaram Business Association. She also is an advocate for animal rescue and is a proud volunteer with All For The Animals, Inc. Milena is also a promoter of local organizations like the Buzzards Bay Regatta at the New Bedford Yacht Club, Animal Advocates, Dartmouth Girls Athletic League, DeMello & Cushman PTO and the Lighthouse Animal Shelter.

A native of Sao Paulo – Brazil, she now resides in Dartmouth with her husband Chad, their daughter Eva, two rescue dogs and a cat. Milena and her family enjoy sailing their boat “Ubatuba” on Buzzards Bay. Milena enjoys spending time with her daughter horseback riding and caring for her horse Jax.
